the crossing
an email i got from my colleague.

Whatever your cross,
Whatever your pain,
There will always be sunshine,
After the rain...
Perhaps you may stumble,
Perhaps even fall,
But God's always ready,
To answer your call...
He knows every heartache,
Sees every tear,
A word from His lips,
Can calm every fear...
Your sorrows may linger,
Throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish,
In dawn's early light...
The Savior is waiting,
Somewhere above,
To give you His grace,
And send you His love...
Whatever your cross,
Whatever your pain,
"God always sends rainbows...
After the rain..."
To get out of difficulty, one must usually go through it!
After all everything happens for a Reason… Even me forwarding this to you.. Don't ask me why and how….

kerokerokeroppi ! and some hoots of mine.
i present to you...
my girlfriend's keropi *the unknown substance* the frog collection! :D this is a random display on the table picture, we'll do a proper collection and shoot everything one by one when we are very free one day.
bottle flask bought from isetan. very worth the money.

some pencil case, color penceils, tray, staionary box and a tissue paper holder.

the big keroppi is the first thing i bought for her even before we were together :s34: it's a random gift when we were going for a movie together as a group. just bought it for her without thinking and gave it to her as a surprise.
some others in the picture would be the calculator, the tong kong * coin holder * , stationary box again, sandwich box i think and this small bedroom light thingy. oh yeah there's a bucket of pens! hahahaha.

keroppi umbrella! a rare item i think, bought from page1 at vivocity with my voucher

some other small stuffs and a glass mug which comes with a nice box as well.

bowl chopsticks and spoon set :P

another forks and spoon set. i think i bought her this.

her favourite keroppi fan hahahaha!

okay here is some of my great hoots of the week! while shopping at muji one fine day, it's actually on the same day when i hooted my fox hydration pack too. i was totally bought over by muji already.
inspired by their practicality and simple design, no wonder they have their own legion of fans. but the fact is that their things are still very expensive in singapore comparing to japan and taiwan i believe.
an overall picture of what i bought that day with my gf.
the paperbag is chioness.
mine - a notebook with refillable pages, a pencil case with 5 pens of different colors. a card holder and a calculator.
gf's hoot - muji fountain pen and pencil, it's made so that it can detach and and make it into half the size of a normal pen. a notebook and this small container for creams.

a closeup shot of the fountain pen :)

woohoo! my muji calculator. great to press on, nice color and feel.

total cost of all my things bought at muji. i thought my pens costs $1.30 each nia but actually they cost $3.90 :( :( :(

a pair of tickets to cai qin concert tickets. cat 4. $202.20 in total. thit is after careful consideration since we had actual photos of the place taken during the korean concert.

my current favourite DJ, the moment i popped this cd into the player and tested the 2nd track, i knew i'm buying it.
and if you guys think it's just 20bucks. think again. i paid a premium price of $49.90 for this 2 CDs. it's worth it, no doubt. keeps ya moving all night long!

it's a sad thing that i missed his gig while he was in singapore a few months back, or issit a year? lol can't remember. i came to know about him thru benjamin, who was actually my classmate in DJ course a few years back.
he's a DJ that has played in some clubs and he has been a source of influence and motivation! :)
PEACE OUT!

some nkf events...
some of you might already have known, i've been working at the "National Kidney Foundation" for quite some time already. there are perks and benefits here but more importantly, it's always about the good colleagues i'm blessed to have *more or less* that i work with.
the following events in order...
- NKF 40th Anniversary
- NKF Patient Educational Program
- NKF Patient Active Day
"A Tribute to Dr Khoo Oon Teik"
"Dr Khoo Oon Teik was Professor of Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Singapore. He has inspired many doctors and developed many initiatives, but one illness has held his abiding interest through all these year - chronic renal failure. In the mid 1950s, the death of his brother from chronic renal failure made him determined to help similarly afflicted patients. When dialysis treatment became possible, he worked very hard and made this available in Singapore in 1961."
"He soon realised that to help the patients with kidney failure, the resources of the community had to be mobilised. He rallied a group of like minded colleagues and doctors and formed the National Kidney Foundation ( NKF ) in 1968. The NKF was then formally inaugurated on 7 April 1969. Despite initial difficulties he perserved and over the subsequent years he provided critical leadership as NKF developed and grew to provide dialysis care to renal failure patients in need of help. He was hornoured by the National University of Singapore, in 1999, with the creation of the Khoo Oon Teik Professorship in Nephrology."
"Dr Khoo has inspired many with his vision, passion and commitment as he went about working fo the sick, But it is his humanity that has been most remembered."
"As the NKF stands on the threshold of a new phase of its mission started by Dr Khoo, forty years ago, we are reminded of his steadfastness of vision and the values he set for helping the patients with kidney failure."
"On behalf of the many who has suffered the anguish of kidney failure, the many who have cared for them and the many who have walked with and supported them on their courageous journeys, i would like to pay tribute to a truly remarkable human being."
"Assoc Prof Evan Lee
Senior Director
Clinical Services Division
National Kidney Foundation"
Dr Khoo ( picture below ) in the wheelchair giving nodding responses upon comments.

A Nurse with NKF chairman, Mr Gerard Ee, unveiling the new orchid crossbreed "Dendrobrium" where NKF has bought the rights to the name and named it "NKF Singapore"

A/prof Evan Lee presenting the first pot of "Dendrobium" to Dr Khoo.

2 young teenagers from CKC, "Children Kidney Centre" who were performers in the opening ceremony with staff from NKF.

a small educational programme held for the patients and family right here in NKF *duhZ* about the problems faced by patients during dialysis.
the speaker, mr Jeffrey, a colleague from the clinical department though, and Job in the background who is the translator.
the attendees! about 110 attendees or so.

a Q&A session where a patient comes forward to allow Jeffrey check on his condition and issue.

okay okay. this is the patient active day where its a simple gathering of patients and family come together for a walk around the marina barrage. just a small kick boxing and tai chi warmup and all of us had a walk about the barrage and this is a panoromic view of the place from the top.

while doing some of the exercises. i believe its the tai chi part :)

just the amount of people making their way up the top while crossing the muddy grass.

a patient with a nurse/NM who is visually impaired if i'm not wrong but he was just singing quite loudly to himself and those around him, showing his joy and how happy he was.
he didnt allow his illness to bring him down at all. and with the "6 hour ride" as the backdrop.

a nurse taking part in a quiz where they had to hunt for answers that are located around the area.

an interior of the air-con place =x it shows how the barrage is being built and such. glass flooring with models inside.

and a random group shot with the kids jumping for the camera :D
